Trolley Travelling

Dad's always complaining that modern trolleys don't allow hitching like they did when he was a kid so I showed him how a modern kid gets the same buzz as he did!

Holiday Weather

It's a long weekend this week. Dad's even taken Monday off. But the weather has been awful. It rained so hard yesterday I had to go out in it without a jacket and play for a while!

But Mum and Dad would not come out to play and it was the same today so we stayed inside and made some stuff. We made some aliens:

And some flying things:

The flying things flew really well too!

XBOX Live!

I don't feel very well. I've got another cold. I seem to have had a few of these recently. Can't beat a bit of online gaming with my Auntie to cheer me up though!

Slide

I've got a cold. That means it's OK to slide across Mum's new automan, pushing off from her sofa. At least, Dad thinks it's OK. Please, no one tell Mum!

We're on Holiday!

We've arrived at our holiday cottage in Kinloss again! After a long day with a lot of driving and a short stop-off in Kingussie to see Granny and Grandpa we're finally here. It's a bit late to go to the beach but nothing can stop me from playing in the fantastic large garden - not even the fact it's been raining here for days and the grass is soaking!

A Night without Mum and Dad

This week, our class at school spent a night away at the Low Port Centre in Linlithgow. It's a real event and the school do it as part of our maturing from the infants section (P1 to P3) to the seniors. I've been excited about it for ages and Mum's been worried about it almost as long!

We packed one of Dad's old gym bags (I say 'old' but it looked like it had never been used to me. He must have really looked after it while attending the gym for all that time he paid his membership). Once packed it was really stuffed and heavy. Mum said I should get a suitcase with wheels but Dad insisted his son wasn't going away for 1 night with one of those. Mum had to carry it to school for me because it was so heavy and then she complained about her sore shoulder all day afterwards.

We went to school as normal and left on the bus at lunch time. Mum had a physio appointment (about her shoulder!) so wasn't going to be able to see me off but Dad snuck out of work for a long lunch to come see. As usual, I was last to leave the school. All of my classmates left to get on the bus before me. All of them, every single one of them, pulling a suitcase on wheels. And then I stomped out with this really heavy bad on my back!

I was with my friend, George, who I'd be sharing a room with. He had a trunki with wheels but was insisting on carrying it. George is noticeably bigger than me and he was moaning about the weight so I had a go. I still had my bag over one shoulder and took a grip of his in my free hand, only to report "I don't know what you're complaining about, you should feel mine!"

Mum arrived just in time to see the bus pull away and that was it until after school the next day. I had an amazing time, it was gorgeous weather, punctuated by a bit of thunder and lightening. We went out in a boat on Linlithgow Loch; did some stuff with the rangers; played games on the peel; had a Low Port's Got Talent contest (I didn't win) and went to Beecraigs park.

I'm already looking forward to P7 when we get to go away for a week. And Mum's already worried about it!

I'm The King Of The World!

We went to help a friend of Dad's get his engine on his boat today. His boat was at a boat yard nearby and once we navigated the bumpy road in (which was like a rough sea itself!) there were all these boats on trailers looking a bit sad and lonely.

We got to climb onto the boat and explore the cabin. I looked very hard but couldn't find the telly anywhere and eventually had to ask. You'll never believe this, but they didn't have one! They plan to spend nights away on this thing and it doesn't have a telly. Daddy has some very weird friends!

Daddy insisted on a photo, as he would, and I got to go right to the front of the boat for this photo:

As I said "I'm the king of the world!", Daddy asked where I knew it from. He should have known - it's Phineas and Ferb! He said something about a film with a boat that sunk... Apparently it is quite famous!

Stairs

This is the only way it's possible to get from upstairs to downstairs in our house at the moment...

And sometimes it's the way for getting from downstairs to upstairs, too!

Fife Coast

Today we had to go to Fife. Mum had a thing she had to do in the morning so Dad and me went to see Gran and Grandad for a few hours and then after picking her up we all had to go looking at curtain fabric at a place in Kirkcaldy. Luckily Dad let me plays games on his iPhone or I think I'd have gone mad. It's bad enough with Dad going mad without me doing it too.

Anyway, remarkably, when we finished looking at curtains (and leaving empty-handed) it had turned into a beautiful sunny day. Dad took us home the scenic route and we stopped a couple of times - once at the beach at Kirkcaldy and once under the Forth Bridge. It was all really very pretty, fun and cool.

I am in the first two pictures. Can you see me?

The moon is in the next two pictures - can you spot it?

Edinburgh

A nice trip into Edinburgh today. I've been nagging Mummy and Daddy to go back to the museum for ages and I was really cross when we went into Edinburgh earlier this week but didn't go to the museum so it was a special trip today.

So, as soon as we got off the train, it was up Fleshmarket Close. Mummy isn't keen on this because it's a long set of steps and she was relieved when we got to the top. I had other plans though and headed straight up the next long set of steps across the street!

We arrived at the museum a bit before it opened so we headed over the Greyfriar's Kirkyard for a wander. Unexpectedly, especially given the location and time of year, we found the largest sunflowers any of had ever seen!

Then it was into the museum. The interactive section is always fun. Unfortunately there are no photos of Mummy and Daddy trying to the get the highest score on the reaction test! But we did get the robot arm to spell out a familiar word!

And then we found another section we'd not been in before. There was some excellent stuff here, including a fab jigsaw! I had trouble keeping Mummy out the way so that I could complete it - you know how she can be with jigsaws...

And then it was onto The Filling Station for lunch. Where only I managed all my lunch AND an ice cream. That ice cream was amazing too and I ate it all and didn't get any of it on my face or clothes. I think that's the first time that's happened!

FAB Scott

This blipfoto thing isn't working out too well for me. This is me being Brains from the Thunderbirds for Mummy. I don't even know what the Thunderbirds are!

Decapitated

Today, Daddy got me to be a model for his blipfoto thing. He spends so much time on that at the moment he's taking less photos of me and not helping me blog enough. Not only that, but he also cut my head off in the photo. I think he needs more practice.

Oliver Twist!

Mummy and me were watching Oliver Twist today and she said I look like him. I don't think so...

Police

The police came knocking at the door this evening. They'd been sent to check on a disturbance in the area caused by some kids and they immediately thought they should check up on me - I've no idea why they thought that! Luckily it was one of Mummy's old work colleagues (I didn't know Mummy had been in the police force) and they let me sit in the car and switch on the blue lights!

Deep Living Room Diving

Been deep living room diving today. Not sure what else to tell you...
