Merry Christmas!

Don't know about you guys, but I've had a pretty cool day! Hope you've all had as much fun as me.

Love to you all. Here's almost 1.5 hours of excited present unwrapping in 30 seconds:

'tis the season to be...

NAUGHTY! La-la-la-la, la-la la, la!

I've been singing this all day! Don't worry, I'm not being naughty, just singing a song that Doofenshmirtz sings in Phineas and Ferb!

Happy Christmas everyone!

All I want for Christmas

is my 2 front teeth!

Soap Making

It's so very nearly Christmas. Only 4 more days of school - and that's assuming we're not snowed off again (which is looking increasingly likely)! So time to get presents for my teachers sorted. And this year they'll be getting soap. Because they all smell really bad! No, not really. But Mummy and me have made this soap ourselves. It smells lovely and has stars inside it!

Cinderella

Today, the weather thankfully allowed us to go see the pantomime Cinderella at the Pitlochry Festival Theatre. We met Granny and Grandpa there and had a fantastic time. The show was great fun and I'm glad we were able to make it.

Monopoly

I was asking Dad what his favourite boardgame is and he said Monopoly. I'd never heard of Monopoly so he described it to me. Within a couple of short minutes we were playing an imaginary game of Monopoly (and I was winning).

The next day, I made a Monopoly game myself with very little help from Mummy and that afternoon was playing it with a friend. We had so much fun!

And then that evening, Mummy told me that she'd bought a real Monopoly game! We all played and while Mummy and Daddy were trying to be a little tactical, I bought everything I could and then started putting houses on them. The game went on for a few hours (didn't finish it that night, had to finish it the next day) but Mum and Dad had no chance! I bankrupted them mercilessly! Now when I ask Dad what his favourite boardgame is, he doesn't say Monopoly...

School Nativity

It was our school nativity today. Thankfully the school was able to open to allow us to perform it. It was called "A Snowman at Sunset" and wasn't your traditional Jesus in a manger nativity. We had a lot of fun and did really well given we've spent 6 of the last 7 school days stuck at home and so not had much rehearsal. All the parents enjoyed it and Daddy managed to grab a few photos of me.

Santa Train

Our friends along the road had some spare tickets for the Santa Steam Train at Bo'ness. So along we went, wishing we had Santa's reindeer and sleigh to get us through the snow but we made it in Daddy's old car (Mummy's car doesn't do too well in the snow).

Mummy and Daddy hadn't told me where we were going and I was very happy and excited to be going on a steam train but I still didn't know at that time that Santa was visiting the train and that he'd be giving out presents!

So it was along the line for a bit on the steam train; stop for a bit and go for a walk along the platform and on to the bridge (in the snow) over the train to peer at the firemen filling the fire, then after a wee while we had to get back on the train for some songs on the way back.

Once back we spent some more time on the platform and I got to go on the engine platform to meet the driver! He told me that the train is actually an Aviemore train that was down specifically for the Santa run!

That was a great day and a great surprise!

Snow

I don't think a description of our weather will shock anyone - the whole country has been buried in snow.

Daddy and I were out on the first day for a bit of sledging (sans camera so no evidence but we had a really great time).

Mummy has been out a *lot* shoveling to keep the street clear while Daddy has been "working from home". I don't know how much work he's actually done but it's made a fine excuse to keep him from shoveling with the rest of the neighbours!

He was in Birmingham for work the first Monday and Tuesday of the snow and luckily made it home via train, monorail, plane (to Glasgow rather than Edinburgh), bus, train, bus, digging his car out and driving home. He arrived home at 02:30, about 4.5 hours later than expected. Nothing was going to stop him from attempting to build an igloo for me the next day!

Daddy did pop out to try to get some photographic evidence of the situation. I didn't go with him so there are no photos of me for your viewing pleasure, but the snow has been just too deep for me to get through at times! I did enjoy many days off school and days at school being pulled home on the sledge by Daddy! I could really get used to having this much snow about!

Kingussie

Mummy and Daddy were at a 40th birthday party for a friend of Mummy's in Dunkeld. They were staying overnight so I got to stay with Granny and Grandpa in Kingussie! For a wee while I almost stayed with Auntie Carol in Newtonmore but then she told me not to jump on the sofas and that was the end of that.

I had a really good time though. Playing with the family without Mummy and Daddy there to get in the way! I was very well behaved. Honest. I think Granny and Grandpa would be prepared to do it again if they had to!

When Mum and Dad returned the next day, I was playing with some toys and watching the birds on Granny's feeder before being dragged home again after a disappointingly short stay...

Lochore Meadows

Cold day today with not much planned. Mummy busy sewing or something so Daddy and I headed through to Fife to check out the new park at Lochore Meadows with Gran and Grandad. It's pretty good, although Daddy keeps saying that until they get another zip-line here, it'll never be as good as it was when he was a kid! Still, that didn't seem to stop him racing me on the concrete slide. He won... Until I realised his slope was steeper than mine and when I used it I won!

Disneyland Paris... Again

Yay! Disneyland again! We're back from Disneyland. 5 days this time and I wish it were longer. I wish it were forever! But Mummy and Daddy think that 3 days is actually enough. They're so old.

An early flight out on Sunday morning meant getting out of bed at 3am to get to the airport on time. I at least managed a wee snooze on the bus from Charles de Gaulle to Disneyland and we were in the park by about 11am. Woohoo!

It was very cold this time. Much colder than we were expecting and no one had brought gloves or hats! We spent a lot of the first day rushing between shops so that Mummy could get herself and me some gloves and hats. More for herself than me - I'm not going to feel the cold in Disneyland! While Mummy was looking over the (rather expensive) clothing, I could play with the build-your-own Mr Potato Head!

The dance routine was great and included the Incredibles. Daddy really liked Elastigirl!

Frontier Land had become Halloween Land for the time of year and there were loads of pumpkin people there. A very good effort by Disney!

And we made sure Christopher Columbus got his photo taken too!

And then there are the rides! We can't take photos on all of them but Daddy did get a few photos on some of the more tame rides...

In this photo, you can see Daddy holding Christopher Columbus and me holding our new addition, Yoditch!

Disney's attention to detail is fab. Just being in the place is great fun.

Can you spot Mummy here?

And then there are the characters!

But all too soon it was home time again. And I got to sleep on the bus again!

And that's it for Disneyland. For a while at least. I will be too old to stay and play for free next year... So we'll need to go to Legoland instead!
