Ikea

We had to go to Ikea today to get new furniture for the "family room". I think Mummy and Daddy have this idea that they're going to deck it out with nice shelves to hold all my toys and games and then I'll love to go playing in there and leave them in peace for a while. But I know that Daddy also intends to put his new computer in there and this'll likely monopolise a section of the room. I also know that the telly with Disney Channel is in the living room and that's where I intend to be!

So we were in Ikea. It's not really a fun place for a wee boy. At least it would be if Mummys and Daddys didn't moan when wee boys actually have some fun in the place. They started to moan when I wouldn't move along with them at one point but then they both laughed and had some fun when they saw me pretending to eat dinner at the display. Daddy thought it was very cute!

Later on, I helped design a new kitchen - these desks at Ikea just force the creative juices to flow...

Tantallon Castle

We went to Tantallon Castle today. It was EXTREMELY windy but oddly warm. The castle is very cool and has lots of interesting history. Unfortunately, a great deal of it has been lost to the sea but what's left is enough to look around and almost get lost in!

Daddy and I had our usual fight. This has become more than just a normal fight between two knights in the castle and we're now Jedi Knights. One sword is a laser sword and the other is a fire sword and we both have Jedi powers (Daddy's are Sith powers actually because he's the baddie). The place Daddy wanted to battle was at the top of the centre tower but it was too windy here and Mummy was too scared to let me go - I don't know how she managed before I was around. We did have a fight in the prison though and also in the great hall.

We also took Christopher Columbus along with us this time. He's supposed to come exploring with us all the time but regularly falls asleep and doesn't come. After Daddy took his picture with me I took some pictures of Mummy and Daddy with Daddy's SLR camera. I think this one is really good and can't wait to take some more on the next trip.

Happy St Patrick's Day

It's not as clear in the photo as it was in real life. We were painting hair at nursery today - supposed to be for Comic Relief but since it was green and St Patrick's Day today (and Comic Relief was last week!) I'll wish all my Irish readers a happy St Patrick's Day...

Badger buddies

We went to see my friend Heather and her Mummy and Daddy yesterday. We really just popped along for a wee visit late in the afternoon because we hadn't really done anything all day and Daddy didn't want to feel like he'd just let me watch telly and play computer games all day!

However, when we arrived I-areen kindly invited us to stay for dinner - which we gratefully accepted! So that meant we were there for much longer and played games like Catch-a-Dad and made these wonderful Badger masks with Heather's Daddy, Jim.
