Gardenastics

While helping Mum in the garden this afternoon, I took the opportunity to practice my gymnastics and test my strength a little...

Vogrie Country Park

Today, after diving, we went to Vogrie Country Park. It was recommended to us by a friend of Dad's and it was great fun. They have some great art and we had a fab time playing on the big chairs.

They had a great park for kids where I set some great examples for my fellow cherubs!

And then on the way back to the car we came across a very cool bike!

Ketchup

We were to go to school today dressed as our favourite food. Mum tried but failed to make a kedgeree outfit for me so we settled on Tomato Ketchup. Can you believe Mum made the label all by herself, freehand?! I was really impressed and pleased (even though I don't really look it in this photo!).

Science Centre

Today we headed out to the Science Centre. It's been a while and we were all looking forward to going back. We had lots of fun, so much so I nearly lost my head!

There was lots of cool stuff to do but one of the most interesting things was the giant pinscreen. Look! It's me!

And here's Dad. He says it makes his pecs look amazing. I think it shows off his man-boobs!

There's an excellent picture of Mum too and she looks amazing but it's not really appropriate for a kid's blog so we won't be sharing it!

Holiday Weather

It's a long weekend this week. Dad's even taken Monday off. But the weather has been awful. It rained so hard yesterday I had to go out in it without a jacket and play for a while!

But Mum and Dad would not come out to play and it was the same today so we stayed inside and made some stuff. We made some aliens:

And some flying things:

The flying things flew really well too!

Diving!

You see that lad on the 3 metre springboard? That's me! There is a picture of me after jumping off but I'm kind of just a blurry, transparent streak so there's no point showing it here.

Technology

No need to even leave bed any longer. At least, until the battery runs out...

Dirleton Castle

After diving today we went to Dirleton Castle. Diving was great, only our second lesson and we were up on the three metre board already! We started with a couple of jumps off the one metre springboard then a bunch of jumping and diving in off the side of the pool to practice our technique then it was up to the 3 metre platform for the first time! We were all excited and a bit scared. Apart from one wee girl who couldn't contain her excitement at all! She was straight up to the board first and had the biggest smile ever! I played it very cool, like I do this every day, until I completed the first jump - it was amazing! I was so pleased I had a wee dance when I got back up the platform. The second time I didn't maintain my pencil shape all the way into the water and everyone got to know that I'd hurt my arm when I surfaced and roared 'Oooowwww'! It was fab, can't wait until next week.

So, Dirleton. It's a while since we've been here but it's very good. We had a wee walk around the lovely garden first, I had a sword fight with Dad, and we saw this amazing tree. Its bark was like fur so I named it a chimpantree!

And then it was into the castle. It's a nice castle and has one of the best preserved doocot's we've seen. It's also got a great walkway over a fab (but dry) moat. Dad and I had a great battle on the walkway and and an even more fab one underneath!

Moving around, we found a very cool tree that was growing at an angle - perfect for climbing!

I'm Playing In The Rain!

The rain this evening was pretty special. It was really heavy and the wind was pretty strong too. Dad shouted me through to watch it and I immediately decided to go out and play in it. Dad tried to stop me like the fantastic parent that he is but quickly realised he wasn't going to have any success with that so decided to just video me having lots of fun getting wet instead!

After he stopped recording we played for a while. Mum had joined him and we played soldiers from either side of the glass with me shooting them and blowing them up with hand grenades and rocket launchers. We're so easily amused - who needs computers?!
