Legoland Discovery Centre

Today we went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Shopping was not on the agenda, thankfully! We went to visit the Legoland Discovery Centre there. We arrived nice and early but unfortunately it was *really* busy. Daddy waited in the queue while Mummy and me went for a look in the shops. When we returned, Daddy had barely moved and had been told it was still likely to be over an hour and a half to get inside the building so we decided to leave it and try again later.

To dull the disappointment, Mummy suggested she and I go on the carousel that was very nearby. I think she was just looking for any excuse to go on it herself! Daddy said he couldn't come on because then no one could take the picture!

After spending most of the day milling around the shopping centre and getting lunch, we headed back to Legoland in the afternoon. Luckily the queue was much smaller and we were able to get in quickly. The first thing you see is how they make the Lego. They needed some help to show us, starting with Daddy volunteering to push the massive start button! A bit later, they needed some of us kids to turn a lot of wheels to keep things moving.

Eventually, the Lego blocks came out and we all got to take one home!

There were some great things in Legoland. It was just a Discovery Centre so quite small, but there were lots of models and a great soft-play and the biggest pile of Lego to play with (and in) that I've ever seen! I'd really like to go back!
