Wasp Sting

It's not obvious from this picture, but I was stung in my right ear by a wasp today. I was trying to get it away from a friend who was scared of it in the playground at school and it stung me. I've been very brave and after the initial shock and pain, it hasn't bothered me much, but my ear was very swollen and red (it'd calmed down a lot by the time this picture was taken). It was also weirdly numb and flopped about as I ran - very amusing for Mummy!

And can you believe it?! I was stung on the finger by another wasp a few days later. It was struggling on the ground and I was trying to help it get to safety and it stung me...

Kenniel House

Today we went to a place called Kinneil House. It's a Historic Scotland property but is only open a few times per year. So it was a bit of a special occasion with plenty things to do.

When we first arrived, there was a talk about some birds of prey which was very interesting. And then we went and queued for a go at the climbing. I really enjoy the climbing and Daddy wants to take me to a proper climbing wall so I can't wait until that happens.

After the climbing, we had a walk about the various stalls, watched a bird of prey display and I played at the great park they've got there. Then before heading home, we had a look in Kinneil House. There were some interesting rooms with original artwork on the walls from hundreds of years ago - very impressive.

St Andrews

We went to St Andrews today. We did loads and had lots of fun. We first went to the castle, but Daddy forgot to bring the swords so there was no fighting but we did go down the tunnel, although Mummy didn't join us. Afterwards, we went to the cathedral and had a look at the old gravestones - here's me being a ghost:

Then after climbing to the top of the tower (which scared Mummy!), we got some ice-cream from Luvians (the best ice-cream in the world). And then headed to the beach. It was getting on a bit and it was a bit windy at the beach but that didn't stop us spending ages there. Unfortunately no sandcastles this time but loads of time playing in the water and then playing with the kite. It was so windy I couldn't hold the kite on my own and Mummy and Daddy were very nearly pulled off their feet several times!

Legoland Discovery Centre

Today we went to the Trafford Centre in Manchester. Shopping was not on the agenda, thankfully! We went to visit the Legoland Discovery Centre there. We arrived nice and early but unfortunately it was *really* busy. Daddy waited in the queue while Mummy and me went for a look in the shops. When we returned, Daddy had barely moved and had been told it was still likely to be over an hour and a half to get inside the building so we decided to leave it and try again later.

To dull the disappointment, Mummy suggested she and I go on the carousel that was very nearby. I think she was just looking for any excuse to go on it herself! Daddy said he couldn't come on because then no one could take the picture!

After spending most of the day milling around the shopping centre and getting lunch, we headed back to Legoland in the afternoon. Luckily the queue was much smaller and we were able to get in quickly. The first thing you see is how they make the Lego. They needed some help to show us, starting with Daddy volunteering to push the massive start button! A bit later, they needed some of us kids to turn a lot of wheels to keep things moving.

Eventually, the Lego blocks came out and we all got to take one home!

There were some great things in Legoland. It was just a Discovery Centre so quite small, but there were lots of models and a great soft-play and the biggest pile of Lego to play with (and in) that I've ever seen! I'd really like to go back!

My Favourite Place

Today we've come to visit Auntie Lesley and Uncle Roger. It's great here because I get play lots of computer games. This is me, not too long after we've arrived. Could I be more comfortable and happy?!

Tired

What can I say. I was asleep at the time. If I'd been awake, I wouldn't have let Mummy take the picture...
