Mindmap
Very limited entertainment value in this post but I wanted to share this anyway. Homework (at the end of term!) is to come up with ideas about how we'd like to learn about Beatrix Potter next year in P5. With the help of Mum and Dad we did a mindmap. Might be difficult to make out but here it is anyway because we're all quite impressed with our efforts. It helped us give a whole bunch of ideas for next term.

Climbing
At long last, the old folks got themselves trained in climbing. They made the effort, booked the lessons, found a mug friend to look after me and got qualified to take me climbing. Dad was looking forward to it and he promised to withhold housekeeping if Mum didn't come along to hold his rope. I think she considered "accidentally" letting go a few times but realised it'd be difficult to find someone who could make her cup of tea so well.
After their first climb, Mum was more sure this was a mistake but she insisted on battling through. She was only there to learn to belay so that we could all go climbing and she would be able to hold the rope for Dad until I get big enough to do it - however, given the rate I grow (up the way) and the rate Dad grows (out the way), that might be a while! After their second climb, Mum was wondering how many more they'd make her do. After the third climb, Mum was thinking it wasn't so bad and by the fourth climb she was eyeing up the lead-climbing wall. She was hooked!
So the following Saturday, after diving, we stopped back into Ratho to do a bit of climbing as a family. I'd been recently for a friend's birthday party and I was one of only two kids that had made it to the top of the wall so I feeling pretty confident.
As it turns out though, climbing might not be for me. I really like climbing on the boulders that don't go very high and where I don't need a harness but the wall turned out to be pretty scary. Maybe it's Mum and Dad? I've done it several times with professionals but with Mum and Dad it seems much more scary. Maybe we'll need to work up to it...

Airport Parking
Dad's been in London for work a bit recently. When we go to pick him up, the airport car park offers a good opportunity to practice my balance and gymnastics...

Gardenastics
While helping Mum in the garden this afternoon, I took the opportunity to practice my gymnastics and test my strength a little...
Vogrie Country Park
Today, after diving, we went to Vogrie Country Park. It was recommended to us by a friend of Dad's and it was great fun. They have some great art and we had a fab time playing on the big chairs.
They had a great park for kids where I set some great examples for my fellow cherubs!
And then on the way back to the car we came across a very cool bike!
