SpeedBoy has his invunisations

Hiya,

I went swimming on Sunday to Whitburn pool with Mummy because Daddy had to work. It was the first time we'd been to Whitburn pool and it was very good. It has a very large pool for grown ups and a great pool for kids too. Except the kids pool was being used for a class so we weren't allowed to play in there. We had to go in the adult pool. It was a fuge pool and was far too deep for me to touch the bottom anywhere. But that didn't trouble me. I just used my woggle and swum around. I even did two lengths! Mummy was very impressed and called me a speedboat, but I corrected her and told her that I'm a speedboy!

Today I had to go to the doctor's and get my latest invunisations. They tried to distract me and get me to look out the window while two of them came at me from either side and stuck a needle in each arm! I didn't appreciate that much but Mummy says I was very brave and I got a nice sticker for my jumper. I went back to nursery and didn't think much of it but it was a wee bit sore in the evening so no bath tonight. We'll take the plasters off tomorrow and it'll be all better. At least now I can't catch any nasty bugs.

Carpet Picnic

Picnics. Yum! When we came back from Asda last weekend I insisted on a wee picnic. I'd managed to make enough noise at Asda to get Mummy and Daddy to buy me some chicken on a stick (chicken satay to you). Once we got home I decided on the picnic. So I had one chicken on a stick, three grapes, two Dairylea slices and one cheerio. Excellent!

Swimming update

We went swimming on Sunday for the first time in several weeks. I was really looking forward to it and had a great time. I used my woggle to float around, kicking my legs and jumped in a bunch of times. Mummy and Daddy said I did really well and it was a great improvement since last time we were there. Very (and pleasantly) surprising since I haven't been for a while...

Cockie or Cockney?

Mummy: "Edan, will you go to the toilet please before we go to soft play?"

Edan: "I'm too busy just now, darlin'. I'll go later."

I wonder who I picked that up from?...Mummy, or the other one?

And just for fun, here's a video of me on my Puky bike (it has no pedals - I'm just learning to balance).

Birthday Barbecue

On Sunday, my friend Heather had a birthday party at Almondell and Calderwood Country Park. There was a barbecue, an assault course, sport day style games, chocolate cake and best of all... Running water and loads of rocks to throw in it!

I had a fantastic afternoon. I played on the assault course. I almost won at the egg and spoon race - I didn't drop my egg once, and no, I didn't cheat. I was beaten by an older boy though. I threw a lot of rocks in the water. They were dirty and I was making them clean. That excuse didn't seem to work well on Mummy and Daddy though when I insisted I had to stay because there were still a lot of dirty rocks needing cleaned.

The weather stayed dry and warm enough with a jacket if needs be so a good day was had by all. I hope Heather enjoyed her party as much as I did.

P.S. The photos were taken using Daddy's new phone so not the usual standard but very good for a phone I think.

Spiderman III

Continuing the spiderman series (see 1 and 2). Daddy and I went to Fife on Saturday to see Gran and Grandad. We had loads of fun. Daddy played their Wii Fit until he knocked uncle Ian off the high score on all the games. Then we all went for a long walk to Timmons Park. They have some really good climbing frames there and a super slide. We all had a play on some of the things, all the adults managed to make fools of themselves but only Gran got caught by the street wardens!

I had a go on a kids climbing wall and managed to climb all the way up to the top with almost no help. It was a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to Mummy and Daddy taking me climbing properly. I think I'll be really good at it. As you can see from this photo expertly taken by Auntie Vikki it was much higher than Daddy and I made it all the way up.

It was a lot of fun but a very tiring day. We had to walk quite a long way to the park and it seemed much longer home to Gran and Grandad's again because it was all uphill! On the way home I fell asleep in the car and when we got home Daddy says he was completely unable to wake me, I was so sleepy. I woke a wee while later though and enjoyed the rest of the evening playing Star Wars on the PS2 with Daddy.
