Last month we lost Grandpa. I didn't go to the funeral so to say goodbye we released balloons in his memory at one of our favourite places - Tantallon Castle. It was a special moment. We love and miss you loads, Grandpa.

We're way behind updating this blog and catching up gets scarier and less likely with every passing day. So we're going to sacrifice our usual detailed quality and dump a bunch of photos in for each month in an effort to get back on track soon. Enjoy July!

Dad's back at work and all we have to do is enjoy the sunshine!

But look at what we have waiting for him when he gets home!

It's always funny, even after someone's been soaked!

Scarborough North Bay

After a bit of a chilly morning where Mum insisted we go to a local lavender farm (which was a bit disappointing) we headed back to Scarborough. But this time to the North Bay - this was more of our style!

We started off in Peasholm Park which was really nice and the weather had also improved greatly. We had a go in a dragon boat around the little lake, overtaking everyone we came across and scaring the swans!

After the park we headed to the North Bay beach and found an ice-cream shop on the way. We'd been really disappointed at the lack of a real ice-cream shop on the other side of the town but this one was fabulous and Mum says it was the best ice-cream she's ever had. That's high praise given we're regular customers of Luvian's in St Andrews and Portsoy Ice Cream in Portsoy!

After a bit of playing and paddling at the beach it was time to head on. We head home tomorrow...
