Beveridge Park

Daddy took me to see Gran and Grandad. It was a lovely day so we went to Beveridge Park in Kirkaldy. They've got a new kids park there with some great equipment. Daddy especially liked the little diggers that really work (unfortunately no photos). Given the weight of them, all the kids reckon they're only there for the dads anyway.
Check me out coming down the tunnel slide. It was great fun but a little difficult for a wee guy like me to get up to so Grandad helped me. Here's photo of him coming down the fireman's pole afterwards!

Silver Sands

Mummy and Daddy took me to Aberdour Silver Sands beach today. It was bitter cold and windy. I think Mummy and Daddy were going to just turn and leave again but I insisted they get the kite out. They let me play with the kite for a bit but thankfully someone kept hold of me at all times as the wind was stronger than I had realised.

By the time we put the kite away, Mummy and Daddy really did want to leave but I was having none of it and insisted we go for a walk along the beach. Since the beach is much shorter now (Daddy said it seemed a lot bigger when he was a boy) it wasn't long before we were scrambling along the rocks and slipping on the seaweed. Loads of fun swinging from Mummy and Daddy's arms for me although they didn't seem to be enjoying it so much.

After the beach, we went to see Auntie Vikki and Uncle Ian and went out for some lunch. It was very good to see them because I haven't seen them for a wee while. They go off to America on holiday tomorrow, hopefully they'll bring me a nice present back with them.

Don't drink it if there are bubbles in it

I'm a toddler who enjoys a glass of milk as much as the next toddler. But give me it with bubbles floating in the top and I know it's because you're trying to poison me. Milk shouldn't have bubbles, not even if it's just been poured from a freshly shaken carton. However, I've discovered that if you use a straw, you can avoid the poisonous bubbles and just drink the lovely fresh milk below. You have to get up early to out-smart The Boy. Then of course, I realised that with a straw, I could make my own bubbles. And milk bubbles (especially goats' milk bubbles) are particularly good. Check out this picture, but believe me when I tell you that I got a lot more bubbles and someone (not me!) had to clean the kitchen floor up afterwards. Mummy and Daddy have started to control my milk movements since this happened.

Is that pasta?

Last week, Mummy tried to sneak some pasta into my diet. But I caught her out. She made something different for dinner. It was cheesey chicken strips and they were very good. She served them up with some veg and something she called 'letters'. To be fair, they quite obviously were letters so I didn't question her. But once they were on the plate in front of me, I could see what was really happening here. "Is this pasta?" I asked her. I touched my lip with some and said "I can taste the pasta." She caved immediately of course and confirmed it was pasta. But because she'd made such an effort I ate some of it. Check out the picture, it even spelled out my name. I also continue to maintain my unbeaten pasta record. No matter what version or shape of pasta she serves up; no matter what she attempts to hide it in, I can spot it...

Just hanging around

I want to get out but this handle will not come down. I thought these problems would be over now I'm tall enough to reach it. Guess I'll need to wait until I've put on enough weight to work it properly. It's strange though, it does work correctly sometimes...

Do you know the muffin man?

Daddy and I baked some biscuits at the weekend. They were ginger biscuits and we were able to use my new range of cutters to cut them out. The picture is only a small selection of the different shaped biscuits we now have. They're yummy! I helped with the measuring and the mixing. We spent ages mixing up the ingredients after we put the butter in to get the right consistency and it would have taken Daddy all afternoon without my help. It was good fun and well worth the mess!

They all rolled over and one fell out...

I have to tell you this story as it was told to me by Mummy because I don't actually remember it myself. A few nights ago, after I'd gone to bed, Mummy and Daddy were watching telly and they heard a thump from upstairs. They naturally thought that I was getting up for some reason. Mummy came up to investigate and found me like this. I had fallen out of bed but was still asleep. Mummy and Daddy were pretty concerned and immediately rushed to get a... camera and take a few snaps for evidence. Thanks Mummy and Daddy. Apparently they just scooped me up (after they'd finished giggling at my expense) and put me back to bed. I slept right through the whole experience.
